Local Action Group Djursland (LAG Djursland)
About us
LAG Djursland is a Local Action Group (LAG) working to create new jobs and sustainable growth and development in the rural areas and fishery areas of Djursland, Denmark. We do this using funds from the European Union and the Danish state to support different projects on Djursland.
We support many different project and have a yearly budget of approximately 4 million DKK (530.000 EUR) for projects in our rural areas and approximately 1 million DKK (130.000 EUR) for projects in our fishery areas.
The board
There are 19 members on the board of LAG Djursland. 5 members are appointed by local government, the remaining 14 members are elected by the general assembly where all of LAG Djursland’s members are allowed to vote.
The board sovereignly decide which projects to support. Once the board has approved a project for funding, the project then undergoes a legal check in the Danish ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.
